According some unconfirmed reports, several SLFP and some Muslim Pary Mp's are likely to cross over to oppostion in with in next few months. The Muslim Party is being heavily pressurized by many Democtratic Governments in Middle East to leave the anti democratic regime. Also some senior SLFP'ers are still unhappy about what they had being given and currently having discussions with some prominent figures in oppostion (in both UNP and DNA). Also some are not satisfied at all with the way thugs, Duminda Silva and Meryn Silva are being used openly to attack those who support the oppostion or going against the regime (Duminda Silva brought his thugs with poles to attack the protest rally in Lipton Circle orgainized by JVP, but with direct orders from top prevented them from attacking which would have put Gota in serious trouble as he is being the one charged with ordering the police to shoot the protestors earlier in Katunayake).
Many political analysts believe that the future of the current regime is likely to end very soon just like what happened in Tunisia, Egypt and happening in Libya (as well as Yeman) though regime is having a 2/3 majority in parliment. The main reason to come to this conclusion by political analysts is that the currently ongoing various strikes (against bogus pension scheme, Univeristy Lecturers Strike demanding salary hike, Other Trade Union Strikes etc..) against the regime backed by working people.

22 Year Old Unarmed Protester is Murdered by Anti Democratic Mahinda's Regime !
The Anti Democratic regime finally made an official announcementthat 22 year old youth Roshana Chanaka had being killed by regime attackes. He was a victim of the shooting by the police at Katunayake on the direct orders issued by defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse, it is learnt.
We earlier mentioned that youth had died on that place itself but regime kept it as a sectret to avoid further embarassement and further international pressure for violating human rights. This youth who sustained injuries following the shooting by the police on the 30th was receiving treatment at the Ragama Hospital. According to Vasantha Samarasinghe, the secretary of the inter Company workers union speaking, the police firing had injured a testicle of this lad as a result. Also one of his legs had to be amputated. Regime which killed him in cold blood most cruelly took revenge on his relatives by not informing them of his death. Those behind this wicked murder should be revealed, and the person who gave orders for the shooting shall be exposed, Samarasinghe further said.
The murdered Roshan Chanaka is from Galoluwa, Minuwangoda and a worker in the S. S. Steel enterprise in the free trade zone. He had started work at this place 4 months ago. Oppostion said that this crime has been committed by the defense Secretary and the police and therefore enlisting the police to inquire into this is ridiculous and meaningless.
According to the police Commands Act, the maximum power the police has is to hit an individual below his knee with a baton , or shoot below the knee. That action can only be resorted to by the police in self defense and only in retaliation to an initial attack by the wrongdoer . In the circumstances , a human rights legal expert said that this action of the police clearly constitutes a diabolic murder. Hence deterrent and stern action should be taken against those behind this and the person who gave orders to kill human life should be arrested and the laws implemented duly.
