42 Year Old UNCLE Sanath to play ODI & T20 Cricket Again ! - Was he behind surfacing the alleged doping offence against Upul Tharanga to earn a place in playing 11 ?

Money Crazy Sanath Jayasuriya who had already tarnished his image to a greater extent will play the Sri Lanka T20 and One Day Internationals in England. The national selectors had picked the 42 year old uncle, former Sri Lanka captain, MP, Sanath on yesterday to join the squad for the series against England starting on June 25 with aT20 at Bristol. The series also features five ODIs against England and one ODI each against Ireland and Scotland.

“I am doing my training as seriously as I’ve ever done in my career and my fitness levels are as good as I’ve been at 18. I am prepared always and am confident of what I can do” Jayasuriya boasted to the media.

National selectors have picked 16 players for the tour squad including all rounder Angelo Mathews (Photo on right - 2) subject to fitness. Interestingly the selectors have opted to include another left handed opener in the squad Dimuth Karunaratne. The 23 year old SSC opener has come through the ranks of Sri Lanka Under 19 team and is incidentally the third player in the squad to come from St. Joseph’s College, Colombo. The promising youngster has been in terrific form right through the recent domestic competitions.

Selectors have also made a sensational decision to appoint left hander Thilina Kandamby as the Vice Captain (Photo on right - 3) of the team while all rounder although Kumar Sangakkara acts as deputy to Dilshan in the test series. Jeewan Mendis has also been selected while dropping Tilan Samaraweera in a move which is likely to give a new look to the Sri Lankan middle order. Mendis, who represents Tamil Union was adjudged the player of the tournament in the recent domestic tournament and has been a proven talent in the local scene.

Pace ace Lasith Malinga who retired from test cricket last month has retained his place in the ODI squad while seamer Nuwan Kulasekara has also retained his place.

Apart from Samaraweera, Farveez Maharoof, Suranga Lakmal, Ajantha Mendis, Chanaka Welagedara and Tharanga Paranavithana who are currently in England for the Test series will return home.

Captain Tillakaratne Dilshan sustaining a hairline fracture in his thumb during the second Test that finished at Lord’s on Tuesday will likely to miss the next test match as well as few ODI matches.

The Sports analysts believe that the decesion to include Uncle Sanaath was the most foolish decesion taken by any sports body. They say, SLC should have given that opportunity to a young talented player.

ICC doubtful about Sanath Jayasuriya and 3 other players over match fixing allegations

The International Cricket Council (ICC) it is learnt are doubtful whether Sri Lankan cricketers Thilekaratne Dilshan, Chamara Silva, Sanath Jayasuriya and Fervez Mahroof have been involved in match fixing.

The Sri Lankan team lost the one day match between India and Sri Lanka played in Rajcourt on December 15, 2009 by three runs after chasing a score of 414.

It is learnt that the ICC is doubtful about Sanath’s playing at the match.Sanath recorded only five runs when the Sri Lankan team had scored 339 for three wickets by the 39th over.

but we hope Sri Lankan Players have never done such a disgusting work to tarnish Mother Lanka.

Vimasumma focused on providing entertainment for the public - Traitor Mahinda Abesundara Says !

(Traitor ) Mahinda Abeysundara when given an opportunity by Sirasa News First as he had politley requested. Mahinda mentioned that he does Vimasumma in ITN mainly to provide entertainment for the general public & was done for over 15 years so far.He had told that he regret pain of mind to anyone over the controversial programme telecasted on ITN reagrding match fixing.


He further said that it was his opinion that mentioned about match (bogus) fixing by Mahela & Thilan 
“I mentioned that Mahela and Thilan could not score because they wanted to change the game in favout of Pakistan” .


“I have sent a letter to Mahela Jayawardena, Thilan Samaraweera and Kumar Sangakkara apologising for any pain of mind if my opinions had been misinterpreted in a negative manner” he further said.


Traitor Mahinda Abesundara had mentioned too that he would extend a sincere and humble apology to the cricket loving viewers if his views had caused them any kind of pain.


Some senior goverment  Minister had already asked President to axe him off his current positions held in the Goverment. Also it is reported that (baba) Namal & Sana was behind the scene.

UPFA Government Heavyweights Urge MR to axe Mahinda Abesundara from all his current posts !

According to the news we received, the several Government heavyweights had asked President Mahinda Rajapakse to take immediate action to remove Mahinda Abesundara from all the posts currently holding which were offered to him by President as well as by Government to protect Namal Rajapakse who too had being criticized for bogus match fixing charges leveled against Mahela Jayawardena and Thilan Samaraweera. 

Currently Mahinda Abesudara hold the following positions;   Presentational Advisor to Percy Mahinda,  Chief Editor Silumina and script Writer for the ITN Vimasumma Programme.

Mahinda Abesundara had told to his news paper colleague's that Sanath Jayasuriya and Namal Rajapakse forced him to write match fixing charges against Former Captain, now vice captain Mahela Jayawardena and middle order batsman Thilan Samaraweera

Vijitha Herath critisied Pro Government Journalist & Percy Mahinda's Presidential Advisor Mahinda Abesundara ( ,script writer) of Vimasumma Programme on ITN and said the leader of the Government including the Sports Minister should apologize to the cricketers 

Opposition Parlimentarian Vijitha Herath addressing a media conference held at its Party Head Quarters further said that , “He is an Advisor to the President.  This is a very serious statement. What is the evidence for such a match fixing allegation? The Government is always trying to claim or gain credit of the success of others.  If the match was won by Lions, it is the same leaders who will festoon the players.  We consider this as a very low slung statement by the Government which is incapable of bearing the loss. The Government always reacts in the same manner.  If the prices of commodities increase they put the blame on floods. If it is decreased they acclaim the ‘Mahinda Chintanaya’.   


The Leader of the country should make an elucidation to the masses with regard to this statement” said Mr Herath.


UNP too critisized this incident, MP Harshana Rajakarunna of Gampaha mentioned, if some people start believe on what Mahnida Abesundara said, their will be a risk on the lives of both Mahela Jayawardena as well as Thilan Samaraweera. 


It is reported that Namal Rajapakse too was behind this mud sligging campaign against 2 Sri Lanka Middle Order batsmans with Percy Mahinda's Matara MP S Jayasuriya. Did MP Sanath Jayasuriya requested Mahinda Abeysundara to attack Mahela ?

It is revealed that Former dashing opening batsman, now a Percy Mahinda's UPFA  MP from Matara, Sanath Jayasuriya is behind the infamous mudsligging Vimasuma ITN programme which accused former captain now vice captain of the Sri Lanka National Cricket team Mahela Jayawardene of match fixing. We too had a dought earlier was this planned by him, but according to another web source, this has being prooved.


Mahela has aleady decided to take legal action against the Governemnt Channel ITN &  Mahinda Abesundara after it implied that Mahela and Thilan Samaraweera deliberately got out in the last Pakistan match where we lost by 11 runs.


It is further revealed that, Jayasuriya was very much upset over the non selection to the World Cup team after even selecting him to final 30. As a UPFA MP, he has the power to force any pro goverment journalist to get his work done. 


MP Sanath Jayasuriya had promised mud sligging Mahinda Abeysundara a case of expensive liquor as well as other financial support had the campaign against the Sri Lanka team succeeded and team crashed out of the World Cup at the group stage.


This is a sad thing as one time great player, when get politicized, do not even hesitate to attack their own fellow cricketer... 

Sanath Jayasuriya coming to politics while still being a national team player

One time master blaster now had entered politics.Any one has the freedom to come to politics but the bad thing is that he had entered to politics while still playing for Sri Lanka National Team.So UPFA had brought politics to current cricket players too.Arjuna Ranathunga and Hashan Thilakarathne came to politics after saying good bye to cricket as they are real Gentleman's according to myself.

He is an outstanding attacking batsman and a good part time spinner who had served the country at many a times without any dought but last 3-4 years he represented national team thanks to the head of Sri Lanka (as Sanath is still his favorite).Many youngsters couldn't get an opportunity as he had being occupying the national team opening batting slot for last few years even without any good batting performance.Cricket is a sport that can make you get lot of dollars in legal way to hand while politics is another way that it helps to get dollars or rupees in legal as well as other way. So all can understand very well what is he up to?(but I hope he will do better for country too like in 1996 worldcup if gets elected!).

Also according to some sources,Current SL Vice Captain Miralitharan is to contest Nuwara Eliya District from UPFA.Some says that these are candidates fielded in UPFA under the support of "Nil Balakaya"(Blue Brigade) of Namal Rajapakse who too contest from Habbanthota but some says Murali was brought to contest by S B Dissanayake. If Sanath wins,he will win with a large number of votes but if he loose,it will by a large margin.Still can't say anything about Murali.

Finally what I have to say is that, it is really bad to bring politcs to national cricket team.Also cricket fans will too get politicized as a result and it will lead to the rapid (as it is already happening to some level)downfall of cricket in Sri Lanka.
