Sri Lankan Regime Head, Mahinda Rajapakse Congratulated the Sri Lankan Team after the 3rd ODI for having a 2-1 lead and also congratulated  Dinesh Chandimal for his  Century but you know what happened in the next match ?  Sri  Lanka were bowled out for mare 174  and  Dinesh Chandimal went for a duck.

He went to watch the 2007 World Cup Final, Sri Lanka were thrashed by Aussies. Then he went to watch the 2011 World Cup Final, Sri Lanka lost to India. So  This again and  again prove that he brings unluck for cricket !

Alastair Cook made a mockery of his dour one-day reputation by galloping along to an extraordinary 75-ball 95, as England crushed Sri Lanka by ten wickets in the fourth ODI at Trent Bridge. The final margin was exactly the same as Sri Lanka themselves had inflicted on England in the World Cup quarter-final in Colombo back in March, and though this display hardly atoned for that drubbing on the game's biggest stage, it was nevertheless a hugely significant performance. The series is now squared at 2-2 with one to play, but more importantly, Cook has stated his credentials as a one-day cricketer in the plainest terms imaginable.

Admittedly, he will face tougher days at the crease, for Sri Lanka's bowlers performed dreadfully in defence of a substandard total of 174, serving up a diet of half-volleys, long-hops and leg-stump deliveries that fed every one of Cook's renowned strengths. But, as Mahela Jayawardene had demonstrated in his matchwinning displays at Headingley and Lord's last week, the secret to one-day opening is finding the gaps in the field. Cook struck 64 of his runs from 16 perfectly timed and placed fours, and he was only denied a century when Craig Kieswetter, at the behest of his captain, cleared the ropes twice in his last ten deliveries, as England hustled to victory in 23.5 overs.

This was England's first ten-wicket victory since South Africa played at the same ground in 2008, but the target on that occasion had been a meagre 83. Cook and Kieswetter's eventual stand of 171 (after a brief shower had shaved two overs off the chase) was England's highest for any wicket against Sri Lanka, and apart from anything else, it served to demonstrate just how inadequate their opponents' own batting had been earlier in the day.

After two matches played out in glorious sunshine at Headingley and Lord's, today's overcast conditions were a throwback to Sri Lanka's thumping defeat in the first match at The Oval. And once again, England's bowlers thrived in the swinging conditions. James Anderson reprised his new-ball performance in that Oval game to take 3 for 24 in eight overs, as Sri Lanka collapsed to 20 for 4 inside the first nine overs. Kumar Sangakkara prevented a complete meltdown with a gutsy 75, but only Angelo Mathews, who made 39 in a sixth-wicket stand of 72, could provide any lasting support.

Though it was overshadowed in the final analysis, Sangakkara's innings was as significant as Cook's in terms of timing. Following on from his majestic speech to the MCC at Lord's on Monday, he showed that his attack on the "cronies" who are ruining the game in his country had not distracted him from his principal role of run-scoring. After bearing the brunt of England's new-ball attack to reach an 80-ball half-century, he was last man out in the 44th over, caught off a leading edge to give Jade Dernbach his best ODI figures of 3 for 38.


The key bowler, however, was Anderson, who set the tone by extracting Tillakaratne Dilshan for a duck in the first over of the day. A full-length delivery swung just a fraction to graze the edge of the bat, and was easily pouched by Kieswetter behind the stumps. Three overs later, Tim Bresnan provided a variation on the same theme to dislodge Sri Lanka's form batsman, Jayawardene, for 9 - the ball nibbled off the seam and took the splice of a poorly-judged push outside off.

Within five deliveries, Anderson had struck again, as Dinesh Chandimal was pinned lbw for a duck by a full-length inducker, as if to suggest that Cook's invocation of the cricketing gods after Chandimal's Lord's century had paid dividends. And Anderson soon made it three in five overs, as Thilina Kandamby continued his poor series with a limp fence to second slip.

Stuart Broad's introduction to the attack started inauspiciously when he was edged second-ball through the vacant third slip for four, and his figures were starting to suffer at the hands of Suraj Randiv when he extracted a thin edge down the legside, to claim his first wicket of the series. He doubled his tally when Jeevan Mendis edged a lifter to the keeper, while Bresnan took the Catch of the Day award with a superb finger-tipped chance off Mathews, as he dived forward in his followthrough to scoop a leading edge.

With rain in the air and an onus on fast scoring to get ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis requirement, Cook was set on his way by three fours in the space of consecutive deliveries from Nuwan Kulasekara - two on a driveable length, and one ripe for a clip off the toes. Lasith Malinga then offered a rank long-hop that Cook carved past point, before Kulasekara's figures were further desecrated in a dreadful third over that went for 15 - seven in two balls to Cook, followed by a brace of boundaries for Kieswetter, whose method was agricultural but unquestionably effective in the circumstances.

Sri Lanka's bowling did not improve. Suranga Lakmal's line and length was non-existent as Cook cashed in on two half-volleys and a long-hop in the space of 10 deliveries to hurtle along to a 37-ball half-century, and England's only moment of alarm came when the clouds closed in midway through the eighth over. The 20-minute break served only to sharpen England's focus, and by the time Kieswetter slog-swept Randiv over midwicket for six to reach a 48-ball fifty, the only relevant target was the 20-over mark that would ensure a victory in the event of rain.

As with Mike Atherton's 98 not out on this ground against South Africa in 1998, Cook declined the opportunity to put personal milestones ahead of team glory as Kieswetter took control of the innings tempo in the final overs of the game. A second hundred in as many ODIs would have been richly deserved in the circumstances, but seeing as he has scored seven in his past 17 international innings, Cook will not be mourning the one that got away.

Katunayake workers raise against Sri Lankan Leader Mahinda and his anti democratic regime's bogus pension scheme ! 200 workers, 4 high ranking police officers , 16 others hospitalized – pension legislation withdrawn temporarily by regime !

It is reported that owing to the police launching attacks on the workers at the Katunayake trade zone who staged peaceful protests against the proposed controversial pension scheme , about 200 workers have been hospitalized. The police had fired at and tear gassed the protestors.. Also it is reported that police had initially gone in to the places where workers are staying and beaten them up for participating in earler protest which had mlift up the morale of the protestors even more.

About 200 workers had been hospitalized while about 100 have been arrested by the police. It was clearly seen (through telecasted videos clips on TV Channels)that even after taking some of the protestors in to custody, they were heavily beaten by Regimes Police.



The peaceful protest which was to be staged this morning at 8.00 by workers was obstructed by barricades placed across on the roads and their Industries disallowing them to freely move out. When the workers resisted this action they were shot at with rubber bullets and tear gassed by the police. This tussle occurred at about 11.30 a m.

Meanwhile , the bees in a bee nest which was near by disturbed by the tear gassing had begun attacking the policemen who were in the tear gas area . The policemen had run helter skelter owing to the stinging bees which could not be controlled. The protestors who confronted these stunned sprinting cops running for dear lives taking advantage of the policemen’s plight have given chase to them and attacked. The police had then retaliated by attacking the protestors using rubber bullets.

Following instructions of the defense Secretary Gotabaya . DIG north Prasanna Nanayakkara, senior DIG , western range, Gamini Navaratne ,SSP Palitha Siriwardena, Puttalam DIG Ravi Wijewardena , Gamini Wijegunaratne have appeared on the scene of the peaceful protestors. Top rung police officers , Ravi Wijewardena, Gamini Navaratne, Prasanna Nanayakkara and Palitha Siriwardena have been hospitalized and are taking treatment for injuries sustained.

When the workers were provoked , the DIG Gamini Navaratne on his phone had desperately asked for assistance of the auxiliary police force , screaming on the phone ‘ we are being trapped and attacked from around like flies swarming’ , according to our reporters.

The IGP at a media discussion this evening however related a fiction story : about 500 workers raided Katunayake police and tried to use firearms , he said. The police had then used its full powers to protect themselves , and in the process had fired into the air first , and subsequently begun shooting, he added.

The workers Associations at a media briefing today, said the police behaved most cruelly and fired at them . They added that their issue of pension is with the Govt. and not with the police. Yet , the police shot at the unarmed peaceful protestors when they were staging their protests .The police had also intruded into the Industries and caused damage. They have also arrested the workers who were within the Industries . The representatives of the workers associations sternly warned that if the arrested workers are not released tomorrow , the regime will have to face monumental problems as the workers would be compelled to mount furious and widespread demonstrations.

Also many HR Groups believe that, more action can be taken against the regime and police for attacking captured protestors brutally which violates human rights.

Mahinda's Anti Democratic Regime attacks innocent protesters in Katunayake !

Over 350 armed policemens and airmens were used to attack over 25,000 protesters who were carrying out the protest in the Katunayake - Negombo area protesting against the proposed private pension scheme yeasterday afternoon.

Police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said that the protesters came to an agreement with the police to halt the protest a short while ago. He said that no tear gas was used to disperse the protesters but it was confirmed by protesters that they were brutally attacked and also used tear gas against them.

The proposed private pension scheme is a plan by Anti democtratic regime (Who doesn't have much allies overseas other than Dictator Gaddafi, Iranian Extremist Leader, North Korean Dictator and Dictorial Assasinator of Napal) to use innocent poor peoples EPF & ETF funds to run the regime and to carry out election malpractices.

More protests are expected in near future until above proposed plan is taken off by regime. Also their is a high possibility that outsting of Mahinda and his regime is likely to take place sooner than expected.

General Fonseka to be blamed for War Crime Charges - Plan by Anti Democratic Regime Surfaces !

A special operation has commenced under the Anti Democaratic Leader's Secretary to blame former Army Commander, General Sarath Fonseka for the war crimes that have allegedly taken place according to the international community during the final stages of the war (yet to be prooved though)

The Leader's advisors are planning on giving publicity to open statements made by General Fonseka. The Leader's Secretary has asked the Media Minister to collect all comments made by General Fonseka while in the Army and after retiring from active service.

It has been decided to use the statement made by General Fonseka after retiring from the Chief of Defence (COD) Staff post where he has said that the leader did not have any clear plan on winning the war and that the only contribution by leader was to provide the necessary bullets.

He has also said the guns, tanks and multi barrel rocket launchers were all purchased during former President Hon. Chandrika Kumaratunge's tenure and that Mahinda Rajapaksa had only provided the bullets.

The Defence Secretary has advised that the operation be carried out in a manner that would not place all credit of winning the war on General Fonseka who was one of the 3 persons involved in impriosoning General Fonseka (Other too are current leader and Ranil).

In order to minimize the allegations of war crimes leveled against the Leaders, his secretary Lalith Weeratunge in an interview with a weekly newspaper said that Rajapaksa did not have any intension of engaging in a war until the LTTE closed down the Mavilaru aniket and commenced the Eelam IV war.

Weeratunge has said that he was shocked when he heard the President tell the special peace envoy Erik Solheim that he was ready for a war.

But many political analysts believe that most probably their will be no issue for General Fonseka (if war crimes are true) as he is being harrased by Mahinda and his regime and he was in China during the final stage ( where UN says war crimes did take place, yet to proove though !) and Gotabaya was the one who was invovled in it with Mahinda.


Also their is a risk for Gotabaya as USA can take legal action against him at any time as he hold the US Citizenship. Mahinda will find it difficult, if he doesn't get support from India to counter attack the charges. Any way it was the regimes foolish decisions (e.g White Flag Case put on SF ) after the war that had lead to all these problems as they were trying to gain political advantage to win elections.

Assassination of Lasantha goes to the account of the General SF: Witnesses ready

The anti democractic regime of Mahinda has laid out a plan to blame former army commander Gen. Sarath Fonseka of master minding the assassination of Sunday Leader editor Lasantha Wickramatunge. For this purpose they have decided to use eight soldiers serving at the moment in Kilinochchi, Wakarai, Mulaitivu and Trincomalee and they are already staying in respective camps with many privileges and their families are also to get massive economic benefits.

An army officer that came to Colombo from the north on a transfer has been given this contract and the responsibility to maintain its secrecy.

According to this plan of the govt, initially two or three soldiers will be arrested in this regard and after giving massive media coverage for these arrests, the rest will also be arrested. The govt has already had discussions in this regard with the relevant army officer and he has also been entrusted the responsibility of detaining these personnel under special security. The whole purpose of it is to convince the judiciary that it was the former General who ordered to the assassination of Lasantha Wickramatunge, using the evidence of these arrested officials for this purpose.

Reliable sources told media that these days these soldiers are studying and rehearsing of how they should give evidence against the general and a top person of the govt planning this operation has told the above army officer that if the evidence of these eight soldiers happens to be contradictory it would have some dire consequences.

It is said that the assassins of lasantha Wickramatunge have walked towards the Ratmalana
air force base after the killing and so far the police has not been able to arrest even a single suspect in this regard. During the Presidential elections last January defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse told a state owned newspaper that he knows who killed Lasantha and they will be exposed very soon.

Sri Lankan Leader Mahinda and his brother,Basil's supporters clash in Negombo !

The organizing committee meetings of the Gampaha District for this year's May Day saw Minister Basil Rajapaksa's supporters taking prominence after sidelining the President's supporters. Young parliamentarians and provincial councilors who are supportive of Basil have been given more powers and prominence while Minsters Felix Perera, Sarath Gunaratne, Sudarshani Fernandopulle and Neil Rupasinghe who are supportive of the President have been sidelined.

It is learnt that during the special meetings held on organizing for the May Day, Basil had intervened in the organizing work of electorates of senior ministers and deputy ministers who are supportive of the President and new parliamentarians and provincial councilors had been given powers and other allocations to oppose the senior party members.

Angered by this move, senior deputy minister and Negombo organizer, Sarath Gunaratne had said at the meeting, “SLFP is a single party with one leader. That is the President. If there is going to be a split in the party or two leaders are trying to rule it, that would be detrimental to the party. We work for the President. I'm not ready to do anything that any one else would tell me to do that goes beyond his words. The Negombo electorate was given to me by the President and I'm its organizer. I organize Negombo according to the President's wishes. There cannot be another leader for Negombo. I'm the organizer appointed by the President and I will organize the May Day in Negombo. Are you trying to split the party.”

Gunaratne had made this comment to Nimal Lanza.

However, the day before May Day, Lanza had summoned MPs and organizers and said that he was to be appointed as the organizer for Negombo and the Basil Rajapaksa would allocate finances for development work only to him. He had threatened that those who work against him would therefore have to suffer in future.

He had said that Negombo organizers and supporters should attend the May Day only in his buses.

Lanza had added that he was to be given more powers in future and that the fate of those who are now showing powers could not be known.

Percy Mahinda plans to appoint Arjuna as Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket in order to silence him ?

President Percy Mahinda has considered in appointing Arjuna Ranatunge (DNA MP) as the head of the Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee in order to silence him, a senior government minister had mentioned this to a online web portal journalist.

The Minister had mentioned further that one of the President’s representatives has already held an unofficial discussion about the matter with Ranatunge. It is learnt that Ranatunge had said that he was willing to consider the offer if the President gives an assurance to him that neither the Sports Minister nor any other politician interfere in cricket.

Currnetly All Ranathuga's Brother are serving for the family regime (One is a Chief Minister of Western Province, Another is a MP of UPFA and Nishantha Ranathga is working for the SLC as the sectretary)

Mahinda Rajapaksa Ranked 6th in Times top 100 for notorious anti-democratic power grabbing - Dictators supporters urged friends to vote online believing the listing would be positive for Mahinda !

Spin doctors and paid sycophants for the government of President Mahinda Rajapaksa have committed a hilarious gaffe with frantic appeals to their buddies, requesting them to vote for President Rajapaksa who was nominated for Time Magazine's Top 100 Influential Personalities list having failed to understand the reason for the Sri Lankan President’s inclusion in the nominees table.


The magazine was allowing online voting for its nominees. On Thursday (21) Time Magazine's final result ranked the Sri Lankan President as No 6 on its Top 100 for 2011, with the following, unflattering blurb, indicating the reasons for Rajapaksa's nomination in the list:


"Since ending Sri Lanka's 26-year-long war against the Tamil Tigers in 2009, and grabbing control over once independent institutions like commissions on human rights and elections, Mahinda Rajapaksa has come to dominate the institutions of his nation more than any other democratically elected head of state. He challenged the U.S., the European Union and the U.N. to prosecute him for war crimes, confident that Russia, China and India would not support it — the latter two have billions of investment at stake in Sri Lanka."


Rajapaksa lackeys, in the confident belief that the Time Ranking could only be something positive for the President, launched ambitious email campaigns urging Sri Lankans at home and abroad to cast their votes for Mahinda Rajapaksa on the Time Magazine website.


Sri Lanka's ambassador to Vietnam, Ivan Amarasinghe a close personal friend of President Rajapaksa spearheaded such a campaign, urging his email database to 'vote yes for the country'. Amarasinghe's email to Sri Lankans both in Vietnam and in other countries reads as follows:


“Dear Sri Lankans and friends, VOTE AGAIN!!! Pls circulate this ONLY among your family and friends- and NOT to wrong people. HE the President is currently amongst the first 20 in the Times Most Influential Persons in the World for 2011. He is ahead of many powerful world leaders. Please vote as INFLUENTIAL - YES ...for the Country.”


It is clear that neither Amarasinghe or others who launched these support campaigns, were aware of the fact that President Rajapaksa was being nominated on the list, and ranked in the top 10 for reasons of his notorious influence over the formerly independent and democratic institutions of the Sri Lankan state. In other words, political observers noted, Rajapaksa has been ranked above any other world leader for a virtual power grab over his country’s functioning, democratic processes and institutions. Rather than flattering, if anything, the ranking of Rajapaksa so high on the list is greater indication of the fact that world has begun to sit up and take notice of the despotic ambitions of Sri Lanka’s Rajapaksa regime, analysts say.


Mahinda Rajapaksa, violent Iraqi cleric Moqtadar Al Sadr and the highly corrupt Afghan President Hamid Karzai are the only names on the Times 100 list to have been nominated for reasons of notoriety, with almost all other personalities including singers Beyonce and Justin Bieber being listed for reasons of positive influence and goodwill towards humanity. In 2007, Osama Bin Laden also secured a ranking on the Times Top 100 list for reasons of notoriety.

Madamulanna Mahinda brings UNLUCK again Just like in 2007 World Cup Final !

Madamullanna Mahinda went to watch the 2007 World Cup Final in West Indies and Sr Lanka lost at that time because of the unluck he brings .


Again their was a belive in most people that if he goes to stadium to watch final of any world cup Sri Lanka will loose. So it happened again this time as well !


Sri Lanka lost a match which they should have won after posting a good total and taking even 2 initial wickets early on.


Hope next time Unluky Madamullanna Guy doen't come to watch the final (if sri lanka plays & if he lives) as he brings unluck to the team. 

The great betrayal - Finally Mahinda give up supporting his friend Dictator Gaddafi !

Though earlier he had tried to provide support for the falling dictator, Mahinda had now decided to giveup supporting him in order to avoid facing a similar situation in some of the middle east countries including libya.

Speaking with foreign journalists at Temple Trees on Monday, Mahinda had told that he always believe that the people are right, but no one should harm innocent citizens.

But earlier he had attempted to provide support to falling dictator but he was unable to do so.... It is also reported that this shows that mahinda is just a jabbering leader but not a true result oriented person neither supportive to its allies according to political analysts.

POSTPONED LG ELECTIONS BY MAHINDA'S REGIME TO BE HELD SHORTLY

"Preparations are presently underway to hold the postponed elections in Local Government institutions very soon" said Election Secretariat.  


Mahinda's Regime postponed elections in 34 Local Government bodies as their was a risk of loosing them to main oppostion UNP which is still strong enough to beat them at those postphoned local bodies. Mahinda a person who fears of loosing elections and power managed to postphone them by saying its due to the World Cup....


In addition the Election Commissioner opted to postpone elections in 64 LG bodied due to legal issues concerning these areas (Here also it was done by mahinda for fear of loosing power !)

We Will organize a Libya type protests - Says Vijitha Herath

It is the responsibility of the political parties to organize a people’s struggle similar to other countries like Libya. The JVP will undertake this responsibility on behalf of the masses, JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath said today in a press conference.


Most political analyst point out that if JVP can get the support of UNP & other minor parties for such a protest, it will be not imposible to do like what happend in Egypt & Tunisia, while in progress in Libya.

Mahela & Thilan was Engaged in Match Fixing ! - Accuses "Vimasuma" - ITN Post News Programme

"Vimasuma programmme " (on 27th) by Presidential Advisor Mahinda Abesundra (Script Writer )  accused both Mahela and Thilan for involving in match fixing which resulted in Sri Lanka loosing to Pakistan. 


But the Sri Lankan cricket analysts says this is one of the biggest horrible thing to do & only a traitor could do such a thing. Also they were saying that this could affect the mentallity of the players to a greater extent while our players will have a risk of facing match fixing charges internationally.

He was a very loyal person to then President Chandrika (CBK) and he did a post ITN News programme called as "Viparamma" where his job was to sling mud at UNP and it's leader Ranil Wickramasinghe during that time. When Percy Mahinda became president, he was offered the main editor's post in "Dinaminna" Goverment Sinhala Weekly news paper while he changed the name of Viparamma to Vimasumma and was continuing his mud sliging job against oppostion parties (but now against cricket heroes).
