MP J Sri Ranga ( who contested from UNP then joined hands with dictators Regime after he was paid well initially ) is disgruntled that the Leader P Mahinda after asking him to contest the local government elections in Manthai East in the Mullaitivu District under the Citizen's Front had on the last minute got Minister Rishard Bathiudeen to hand over nominations from the UPFA and that the President had secretly supported Bathiudeen.
The ITAK polled 1,223 votes (55.54%) and won six seats in the Manthai East Pradeshiya Sabha while Bathiudeen's UPFA team polled 920 votes (41.78%) and secured three seats.
While Sri Ranga's funny Citizen's Front that contested the elections due to the President's request had polled only mare 56 (2.54%) votes with huge public embarassment.
J Sri Ranga betrayed UNP Voters who elected him to Parliment from Nuwara Eliya (Central provice) and this might be the first gift given to him by God for his act of betrayal.
Normally P Mahinda will get maximum out of any individual who joins with him and if he feels that he/she isno longer needed by him.. He will do his best to get rid of them...
Mangala Samaraweera and former CJ Sarath N Silva are some of the past examples....
