I haven't posted anything for ages, but I haven't forgotten you guys. So I'm wishing you, and those around you, a fantastic Christmas and an awesome year to follow. Hopefully 2009 will bring a new "Advertising etc" ;) All the best guys.
This one is a shameless self-promotion as I am the Art Director responsible for this TV Advert for Relance, a new Portuguese magazine covering various subject matters, such as Design, Fashion, Architecture, Food, etc. One of the reasons I have been so busy, and haven't been able to post much. Hope you guys like it. Do give me your feedback and let me know what you think.
The concept of the ad is that the subjects are being compressed into the magazine. We had a purpose built machine to smash the objects, and then we filmed them with a special high speed camera, which I'm sure some of you guys already know, called Phantom. This impressive camera films at 1000fps in High Definition. The process was a lot of fun and very unpredictable. You just want to keep smashing stuff and trying new things.
Voice over says: "A mindful look at everything contemporaneous."

Yesterday was World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. Unfortunately this year, in Portugal alone, there were already 756 road accident related deaths. Maybe that's why they say we have the worst drivers in Europe. Anyway, this is the campaign we did at DraftFCB Lisbon. It consisted of posters and a guerrilla campaign, both of which you can see above. The poster reads "If you kill you won't forget", the crosses just say "World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. 18th November 2007".

The briefing for the Creatives Club of Portugals' Young Creatives was to sell the new Frize bottle. This is a "purpose built" brief for the Creatives Club and it isn't the one that sends the creative teams to Cannes Young Creatives. That brief will be coming out on the 8th of May.
The ad reads:
Yellow (Frize) bottle cap - "One day she'll come back to me." Red bottle cap - "I used to say that to."
The new Frize bottle. Lovelly like the water.
