Parasitic worm kills 3 jumbo calves in Kantale

Three elephant calves have died in Kantale due to a parasitic worm infection, said the area branch of the Wildlife Conservation Department. This parasitic worm had entered their systems through the grass they had eaten.


Another jumbo calf has died due to an infection in the nails. All are aged below five years.
